Emily in So Flo Episode 1 | Pivotal Roles in an ASC

Welcome to another exciting episode of “Emily in So Flo”, Episode 1, Season 2 “Pivotal Roles in an ASC”! This week, Emily takes a deep dive into the fascinating world of roles that collectively ensure the seamless operation of our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). Join us as we uncover the key contributors who play pivotal roles in our ASC’s success.

Pivotal Roles in an ASC:

  1. Certified Surgical Technologist: The Scrub Tech
Among the essential positions at our ASC, we have the skilled Certified Surgical Technologists. They are also commonly known as scrub techs. These professionals are the backbone of our surgical teams. They are working diligently to prepare and assist during procedures. Therefore, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  2. Anesthesia Providers: Anesthesiologists and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs)
When it comes to anesthesia, we have two dedicated experts on board. Our Anesthesiologists and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs.) They both possess the expertise to safely administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout surgery. However, they both play a vital role in ensuring that patients are comfortably asleep under anesthesia. Thus, guaranteeing a smooth and pain-free surgical experience.
  3. Front Desk Staff: Our Front Desk Staff
It’s not just the clinical roles that make our ASC function seamlessly. Our Front Desk Staff are the warm and welcoming faces you encounter as you step into our center. They’re here to assist you. Plus, answer your questions, and ensure your visit starts off on the right foot. Their professionalism and courtesy set the tone for the entire patient experience.

This is only a few of the many different roles at an ASC. Join us again soon as we go over more pivotal roles in an ASC, including nurses, surgeons, admins, and more.
